Do you want to play in important role in electing Republican judges in Tarrant County and in Texas in the next election cycle?
Come to the 2015 Republican Judges Petition-Signing Event:
How much does it cost? The event is free to all Tarrant County Republicans.
Why is it important to attend and participate? Texas judges are required by law to collect signatures of at least 250 registered voters to be placed upon the ballot for re-election. By signing a judge’s petition, you enable them to have their names placed on the Republican ballot. (Note: Signing a judge’s petition does not constitute an endorsement. By signing you are not obligated to vote for that judge. You are not obligated to vote at all.) (But anyone who signs a Republican judge’s petition will be ineligible to vote in the 2016 Democrat primary.)
Who hosts this event? Every two years, the Tarrant County Republican Party invites all Tarrant County Republicans to lend their names in support of the incumbent Republican judges of Tarrant County – along with statewide incumbent Republican judges. This is your opportunity to participate in Republican politics at the grassroots level and help ensure that conservative Republican judges are re-elected to office.
How many incumbent Republican judges are participating? This year, 18 incumbent Republican judges will be participating in the event, including three justices from the Texas Supreme Court, one judge from the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, two justices from the court of appeals and a dozen Tarrant County District Court judges who need your help and support. Please come and meet these judges. Bring your spouse, friends, co-workers and neighbors.
How do I participate? Just show up on Thursday, June 4, check in, sign your name on the petitions provided and then enjoy food and refreshments, courtesy of the Tarrant County Republican Party. It’s an enjoyable and easy way to help support the re-election efforts of the incumbent Republican judges.
How long will it take? The petition-signing process takes less than 10 minutes, and you can arrive anytime between 4:00 & 6:30pm. After you have signed the petitions, feel free to stay, if you like, and visit with other Tarrant County Republicans.
Don’t miss this important opportunity to participate in Republican politics at the grassroots level and do your part to help ensure that conservative Republican judges are re-elected to office in 2016!
